Mature human epidermal growth factor (HGF) is a low molecular weight single-chain polypeptide composed of 53 amino acids, with a molecular weight of approximately 6.2 kDa. It contains 6 cysteines in the molecule and forms 3 pairs of disulfide bonds in the chain. It is stable to acid, alkali, and heat, and can resist degradation of trypsin, chymotrypsin, and pepsin. It is one of the most stable protein polypeptides. HGF can perform a variety of biological functions by binding to the EGF receptor (EGFR) that is specific to the cell surface. It can be used to treat surgical trauma, skin ulcers, gastrointestinal ulcers, corneal damage, tissue repair, etc.
HGF can automatically combine with EGFR in the cell membrane near the wound, activate protein kinase, accelerate DNA, RNA, and protein synthesis, promote and regulate the growth and enlargement of epidermal cells, quickly heal the wound and repair the skin tissue. Therefore, adding HGF to cosmetics has the function of eliminating blemishes, acne, and acne. HGF also has a protective effect on normal skin, mainly delaying aging, increasing the elasticity and radiance of the skin.
Recombinant human epidermal growth factor (RH EGF) was expressed by extracellular secretion. The amino acid sequence and molecular structure were compatible with natural HGF and it had biological activity.
Biological Activity: Fully biologically active compared to standard. The ED50 determined by a cell proliferation assay using murine Balb / c 3T3 cells is less than 0.1 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of> 1.0 x 107 IU / mg.
Application: research, laboratory, or other evaluation purposes. NOT FOR HUMAN USE.
GG stability amplifier; storage conditions:
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from the date of receipt between -20 ℃ and -80 ℃
Store in sterile conditions between -20 ℃ and -80 ℃. It is recommended to take aliquots of the protein for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
